NADRA Jobs 2026 – Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Deputy Director GRC & Audit Head, Eligibility & How to Apply (careers.nadra.gov.pk)

Introduction

The NADRA Jobs 2026 October recruitment round has opened three senior leadership positions at the National Database and Registration Authority: a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a Head of Internal Audit, and a Deputy Director (Governance, Risk Assessment & Compliance). The CTO advertisement appeared in the Daily Dawn on 14 October 2026, while the audit and compliance posts were advertised in the Daily Express on 12 October 2026.

Unlike NADRA’s earlier 2026 drives that targeted network engineers and developers — including the round covered in our NADRA Jobs 2026 October advertisement — this intake sits at the very top of the organisation chart: the executive who will run the technology of one of the world’s largest biometric identity systems, the officer who will lead its internal audit function, and the specialist who will own governance, risk and compliance out of Lahore. Applications are accepted online only through the official careers portal, and the last date to apply is 25 October 2026.

About NADRA

National Database and Registration Authority

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) works under Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control and operates one of the world’s largest biometric citizen databases — the systems behind the CNIC, NICOP, and identity verification services used by more than 220 million people. Headquartered in Islamabad, it is widely regarded as the country’s most technology-driven federal institution, running national-scale data centres and biometric matching platforms.

All three appointments are made under Sections 9, 10 and 11 of the NADRA Employees (Service) Regulations, 2002, on a contract basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Every post demands a degree from an HEC-recognised university, attested by HEC (original attested degrees are shown at joining). The CTO needs 16 years of education in a computing discipline (Master’s preferred); the Head of Internal Audit needs a professional accountancy qualification — CA (ICAP/ICAEW), ACCA or ACMA — or a Master’s in Finance or Accounting; the Deputy Director GRC needs a 4-year bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Science, AI or an equivalent field. Foreign-degree holders should keep their HEC equivalence certificate ready.

Experience Required

This is an experience-led intake. The CTO and the Head of Internal Audit each require 15 years of progressive post-qualification experience — technology leadership (including having led IT functions in large organisations) for the former, and audit, risk, governance and compliance leadership (with at least 5 years at senior level) for the latter. The Deputy Director GRC requires 6 to 10 years of post-graduation experience with a minimum of 3 years in governance, risk and compliance. Only experience gained after the prescribed qualification is counted.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 55 years for the Chief Technology Officer and the Head of Internal Audit, and 44 years for the Deputy Director (Governance, Risk Assessment & Compliance). The 5-year general age relaxation is already built into these limits — do not add another five years on top. Age is reckoned as of the closing date, 25 October 2026.

Gender

NADRA is an equal-opportunity employer: female, minority, transgender and differently-abled candidates are expressly encouraged to apply, and all three posts are open to every eligible Pakistani citizen.

Salary and Benefits

The CTO post carries a pay package “as per NPS-10” — NADRA’s internal pay structure — but the advertisement discloses no figure, so treat any salary number circulating on social media with caution and confirm the package on the official careers portal. The audit and compliance posts carry no advertised pay figures either. Because these are contract appointments, read the contract terms on the portal carefully: selected candidates get no automatic entitlement to permanent appointment or regularization.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted online only — courier, email or walk-in applications will not be entertained:

  1. Open the official NADRA careers portal at careers.nadra.gov.pk and locate the post you are eligible for.
  2. Read the complete advertisement and eligibility conditions for that post before starting the form.
  3. Check the Downloads section of the portal for application guidance and any prescribed format.
  4. Fill in the online form with accurate personal, academic and professional details, and attach the required documents.
  5. Government or semi-government employees must apply through the proper channel and keep a valid NOC ready for the interview stage.
  6. Review every entry, submit the form, and save or print the confirmation for your record — well before 25 October 2026, since portals slow down near deadlines.

Selection Procedure

NADRA follows a shortlisting-based selection for senior appointments: online application → scrutiny and shortlisting against the advertised criteria → test and/or panel interview → final merit-based selection. Only shortlisted candidates are called — there is no automatic call-up. Standing conditions: no TA/DA for the test or interview; mobile phones and smartwatches are not allowed during the test or interview; false information means disqualification at any stage; and NADRA reserves the right to cancel the process or reject any application without assigning a reason.

Why Consider a Career at NADRA

Technology leadership at national scale — the CTO role oversees the systems behind Pakistan’s biometric identity infrastructure.

Senior technology executives in a strategy meeting with cybersecurity dashboards — NADRA CTO Jobs 2026
Technology leadership at national scale — the CTO role oversees the systems behind Pakistan’s biometric identity infrastructure.

Few technology jobs in Pakistan operate at NADRA’s scale: the platform you would help run verifies hundreds of millions of biometric records and underpins everything from elections to banking KYC. For a CTO-track professional, it is a rare chance to lead genuine digital transformation in the public sector. The audit and GRC posts are equally distinctive — independent assurance and security governance for a national identity authority is high-stakes, high-visibility work that few private-sector roles can match. Candidates eyeing similar federal technology competitions may also want to review our PTA Jobs 2026 coverage of IT officer and incident-handling posts at another federal technology regulator.
